About the Center

The Midwest Gamma Knife Center was opened in September of 1994 to offer new hope and treatment options to people suffering from tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, or vascular malformations of the brain. The Gamma Knife at Midwest Gamma Knife Center is the 22nd unit to be placed in operation out of the now 65 units established in the United States. The Midwest Gamma Knife Center prides itself on providing highly personalized treatment in a uniquely warm and caring atmosphere.

The Midwest Gamma Knife Center is a part of Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, one of the leading acute care hospitals in the region. Research Medical Center has received Accreditation with Commendation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the highest honor the Joint Commission bestows.
